Choooooch!!!

左の写真、万里の長城って想像できますか？言われなかったら、絶対欧州、豪州、日本あたりのレイブパーティとしか思えません。

かなり前の情報ですがいろんなサイトで調べてみると、万里の長城でのレイヴパーティは2000年夏、2003年春、2005年夏に行われたようです。外のレイヴが大好きな私としては中国の歴史を感じながら踊れるなんてかなり興奮しますが、2003年にはポール・オークンフォールドがゲストDJとかちょっと私の趣味とは違うようです。残念。

とにかくすごいイベントですが、当局からレイヴ禁止令を下されました。その記事がこちら。
そんな当局の反応に対して、否定的な意見もあり。英国新聞社「The Independent」の社説を和訳したblogはこちら。ちなみに2005年のパーティ直後の記事（英文）と写真はこちら。

レイヴの事を「非道なお祭り騒ぎ」で片付けるのは、中国、日本、英国、いくつかの印度と米国の州、どの当局も同じ。その考えには賛成できないし、英国新聞社々説の通り、交通整備のせいや老朽化などのせいで長城自体がダメージを受けているのも納得。しかし私の場合、一レイヴファン（レイバーじゃないですょ！）として、当局の意見は最もだと思う。トイレ設備やゴミ箱が設置されてなかったら、汚されるのは誰もが想像出来るし、設置されていたとしても不十分な数だったからそういう状況になったと思う。そして、それを準備しない、或いは不十分な数しか設置できなかったオーガナイザー側も、万里の長城という神聖な場所を守ろうとしないレイバー側もレイヴに対してのマナーがないと思うし、どちらもゴミを持ち帰るのは当然の義務だと思う。大変なのすんごく分かるけどね…。しかし、元々ダメージが酷いんだからこのレイヴのみを当局が禁止するのはおかしいと言う意見もどうかと思う。

話は変わるが、この北京のオーガナイザーチーム、国際的有名DJを呼んだり、3度も書類手続きを滞りなく通過させたのは凄い！勿論袖の下もあると思いますが…（ちなみにここのサイトには2003年のパーティ写真あり）。「レイヴは続けるべき！」とのオーガナイザーのコメント。そういった問題を解決、改善する意志を持って、またまたすんごいレイヴを成功して欲しいと願うばかりです。更に関係ありませんが、今日現在このチームサイトのトップに貼ってるDJのTシャツ、かなり気になりますね。

::Rave on the Great Wall?!::
Can you imagine that the photo on the top is at the Great Wall? If anyone don’t say that, it looks at the rave party in Europe, Australia or Japan.

This news was old but according to my researching, rave parties at the Great Wall were held in the summer of 2000, the spring of 2003 and the summer of 2005. Because I love outdoor dance parties, I was really excited to read it. But hearing that the guest DJ, who came the party in 2003, was Paul Oakenfold, I was dissapointed to it because I’m not interested in his style…

Anyway they were amazing, but local authorities prohibited any future events. The report from china daily is this. And this is an another report with Japanese translations on one Japanese blog, which the source is from British newspaper”The Independent“. And this is the report after the party in 2005.

Any authorities, like China, Japan, England, and some states in India and the States, say that the rave is “bawdy”. I cannot agree with that, and as the reporter said, I agree with the situations, which the Great Wall has bad damages because of the road construction, old and so on. But because I’m one of the rave-funs(I’m not a raver!), I can agree with what local authorities did. If there were no the excretory facilities and rubbish bins, people can imagine that it be messy, and even though there were them, it’s happend like that because there weren’t much of them. And the organizers, who didn’t prepare them at all or not so much, and the ravers, who didn’t keep to preserve the holy Great Wall, had no manners, and it’s absolutely their duty to take their rubbish when they went back. I really can understand it’s a hard work though… But I cannot agree with the opinion, which is strange just to banned raving because its damage has since before.

By the way, this organize team in Beijing is cool because they invite an international famous DJ, and they had all the paperwork done for 3 times. of cource they offered a bribe though. (by the way this site has lots of party photos in 2003.) they said, “I think we should continue the tradition of having rave parties.” I wish they, who try to solve or improve such problems, are succeeded amazing rave parties again. And this isn’t connected with this story, but I’m really conscious the T-shirts, which is wore by the DJ on the team website at this moment, on my mind.
